Evidence-Based Practices: What We Do

Step 1: Topic Selection

How Are Topics Selected?

Topics selected for review are focused on research about practices that directly influence child behavior and the development of infants, toddlers, or preschoolers. The majority of topics include methods and procedures that contribute to positive social, emotional, mental, behavioral, instructional, and early literacy development and functioning.

Topic suggestions are obtained from our collaborators, practitioners, parents, Office of Special Education staff at the U.S. Department of Education, other researchers, and the early childhood development literature.
